Hi World,
This day has been traumatic. i was banned from Newark Speaks.com for the “Quality of Posts.” Quality of posts? Can you imagine someone who enjoys writing as much as I do being banned for the Quality of Posts? Actually, there were complaints about me for awhile. I joined Newark Speaks almost two years ago and had acquired over seven thousand posts. Some of the original members complained I posted too much. They said I posted ten posts per day which I didn’t realize nor thought was a problem. I literally, pushed them out of posting. How did I know they felt pushed out. One member said I was a crackhead addicted to Newark Speaks and I need to ween myself away from the site. He said I should be having sex or sleeping. Isn’t that the same as saying women should be barefoot and pregnant? So, here I am, posting my sentiments in my blog. I won’t taking being banned lightly and I won’t go away with my head between my tail. My Sistah Spokenword was also banned and the good minister TE2 who has his own cable television show was banned. Imagine banning a good Rev. I bet Obama’s ex minister knows what being axed feels.
Another thing, when forums and sites begin to limit our Freedom of Speech based on said “Quality of Posts” which is subjective, we have a problem. What affects one affects all.
I cannot believe the hypocrisy of the Administrator of Newark Speaks stating Spokenword and I were the same persons. What a load of crap. He or she knows based on our ISP addresses we are NOT one and the same. The he goes on to say we used the same computer which is another load of crap. He is trying to justify my banning of Newark Speaks and he has no legitimate reason except his friend original members were envious of my posting which came to be about ten posts per day which some of them kept track of and reminded me of on several occasions. There wasn’t anything mentioned in the rules of the site regarding how many posts per day members could post. Basically, what the Administrator has done is defamed my name and banned me from the site to prevent my Freedom of Speech. I’m surprised Deborah who works for the ACLU and who is a member of Newark Speaks hasn’t said anything publicly regarding the matter. Silence is golden, but not in this case. Frown
